Online Marketing Progress vs Results and Speed

The time has come for a radical redefinition of what roofers consider to be success in 2021.

It almost pains me to say it but many roofing contractors I speak to (95% of them in my view), have allowed ideas from the marketing world to infect your judgement.

There are countless schemes used to sell stuff to roofing entrepreneurs, most come from trying to sell you on ideas to automate or simplify your marketing efforts that only complicate things.

As an old hunting friend of mine would say: “That dog won’t hunt.”

What is Success For A Roofing Contractor Anyway?

The radical redefinition is needed because there is too much confusion over what success for a roofing contractor looks like – and what success actually is.

Here’s what I mean; for more than 10 years, many roofing contractors have been taught to buy SEO services. But having sold such services countless times, I can say that only a few of my clients ever understood what was going to happen.

Since no one can guarantee any sort of ranking in Google as an entrepreneur and business person you have to instantly know to ignore those whose offers speak of guaranteed rankings in Google.

You also have to understand that nothing you can do to “optimize” yourself in search engines will provide instant results, you need to skip doing business with everyone who makes such claims.

There Are No Marketers With Magic Wands That Work

One such vendor sent me an email today guaranteeing me that his generic videos would rank for important keywords and generate leads in 24-48 hours.

Uh, no. It won’t. Spectacular “magic tricks” always have a fairly easy explanation… and to be candid, Copperfield did not make the Statue of Liberty “disappear”…

All such ideas can only offer “progress”, which is defined as “forward or onward movement toward a destination.”

Now compare that to the definition of “results” which is “a consequence, effect, or outcome of something.”

This might be the biggest transformational secret I can ever teach you – and this one is contained for free in this email to anyone willing to read it and find it.

So here’s the lesson – If you want online marketing success, remember that progress toward your result is not the same as the outcome or result itself. A lead for a buyer whom you can help is not the same as a sale to that same customer and today shingles are being delivered to replace his roof.

In simple language, improving your SEO rankings or getting a few more likes and shares of your latest attempt at creating viral social media content is NOT a result.

It’s progress toward your result and nothing more.

The result is the signed agreement. The result is your crew has a roof to install today.

I’m telling you this because today, tomorrow, next week and next month you’ll be approached by marketers who offer progress and not results.

Top Ranked Roofer is also likely to make you an offer but mine will be built on results.

Not only a real result but one that will occur really quickly, especially if you’ve been conditioned to seek progress instead of results.

An example of a real result is the client whose website was invisible in Google search, getting little from his Google Ads and was simultaneously buying shared leads from a big lead gen company hiring Top Ranked Roofer and telling me that he recovered his investment in our work in 45 days.

To clarify, we launched an entirely new website with solid unique copy written in the owners voice, launched a regional ad campaign and helped him generate several sales in the first 2 weeks.

My call to action today is simple. Just do a self assessment today or over the weekend and decide of you’ve got progress and results mixed up. If you’re paying for progress and still not getting real results, it’s very likely I can help you.

But we only work with contractors and entrepreneurs who are a fit so if you’re considering investing in results, the process starts with a free, no-obligation call. Click here to choose a time and date for us to talk.
