What I want to talk to you about today is marketplace domination, and I DON’T want to assume that you’re not already the leading roofing company in your area.
It’s possible that you are.
But statistically speaking, there’s an 80% chance that you are not the leader.
No.
If, for example, you are in NYC and want to get to Los Angeles, it’s a pretty easy thing to map out the step-by-step directions. However, if you don’t know where you are presently, then I’d suggest you find clarity in your current location and proceed from there.
So if the destination is marketplace domination – and we know where we stand in the pecking order in your market now, we can devise strategies to move you to the lead roofer role.
Agreed?
One of the keys to marketing success in 2015 is to demonstrate mastery over online or Internet marketing – which is why you should invest in the best SEO company possible.
Many marketing consultants, strategists, web designers and “top” SEO experts all CLAIM to have the answers to help you accomplish such a goal.
Many of them prey on the idea that you may not know that much about how Internet marketing actually works and successfully sell businesses on “First Page of Google” search engine optimization services as your goal.
That’s precisely where the problems begin. Big, expensive mistakes happen when you become convinced that getting on Page 1 of Google is the same as marketplace domination.
It’s NOT.
No.
Not even close.
Marketplace domination is when your ideal customer sees you everywhere they look, when they are looking for new roofs, roof replacements, leak repair – you name it.
If your current SEO firm has you at #8 on the first page of Google, you have a 4% chance of getting me to visit your site. At #1 you have a 32-40% chance.
More importantly, they understand (from your marketing communications) that your solutions are unique and difficult to compare to anyone else who says they’re your competitor.
Your ideal customer or client is convinced that it’s WORTH IT to pay more to work with you.
Most importantly, though, is that when people do visit your site, they CONVERT from visitor to lead at a rate that generates all the sales you need for success.
Can your consultant, SEO or web designer offer you any of these things? Maybe.
Do they do all of them as a part of the implementation of your marketplace domination program? Doubtful.
Are they so confident in their own process that they’re willing to GUARANTEE you in writing that the program will produce an ROI of at least $3 for every dollar invested in it? NOT A CHANCE.
If Roofing Marketplace Domination is Indeed Your Destination, We Should Talk…
Before we chat about your next steps for online success, I’d like to share my favorite part of my job:
…Reporting to my clients the results they are paying me for.
One client, when we started, knew that his site could perform better than it was. He was 100% right!
When I started his campaign, his business was being found in Google for 0 keywords in the #1 position, and a total of 9 keywords were being found on page 1 (in the top 10 spots).
After his first analysis, two months later, his business was being found for 14 keywords in the #1 position on Google – and a total of 56 keywords were being found on page 1.
Cool, right?
But, again, as I mentioned above – it’s not too, too difficult (“relative,” in the world of SEO – and harder now with Google’s recent Rank Brain update) to rank keywords on page one at the #1 organic spot. What is MUCH harder, is converting that visibility in search engines into targeted traffic that converts into something useful for the business.
Like leads.
When roofers ask what I really do, that’s what I tell them. I get them exclusive leads they can sell to.
And it’s fun to report to companies who’ve been burned over and over by “top SEO Experts” that we’re making progress toward the goals we agreed to when the project started.
In this case, the business has had over 3 dozen people fill out one of his lead generation forms in the last 60 days, and many more who skip that process and just call on the phone.
So why am I telling you this?
